Technical Analyst – Immediate Start for Long-Term Project (Good Rates)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform technical investigation and root cause analysis for issues in development, staging, and production environments.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and scenarios to support integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Conduct backend validation using SQL and ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Validate APIs through structured testing of request/response data and integration workflows.
  • Log, track, and communicate defects clearly, while working closely with the business and developers to drive resolutions.

 

Skills and Qualifications Required (3 to 5 years experience):

  • Previous background in Software Development is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in SQL for test data preparation, backend validation, and report verification.
  • Solid hands-on experience with API testing and a good grasp of RESTful service interactions.
  • Solid experience in Master Data Management
  • Expertise in designing and executing functional, integration, and regression tests across different environments.
  • Basic familiarity with XML and ability to interpret structured data formats.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Technical Proficiency:

  • API Testing: Comfortable testing web services using tools such as Postman or Swagger, with a good understanding of HTTP methods and status codes.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Highly skilled in diagnosing issues across APIs, databases, and environments with a structured approach.
  • Testing: Strong command over manual testing practices; experienced in planning and executing test cycles independently.
  • SQL: Capable of writing and optimizing moderate-level SQL queries for data checks and validations.
  • XML: Exposure to working with XML data; comfortable interpreting tags, attributes, and structure.

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and participation in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge in areas like insurance, healthcare, or finance is an added advantage.

 

Work Details:

This role requires on-site presence at the client’s office 3 days per week (Sydney CBD)

Start time: 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 AM (8 hours 30 minutes total duration including 30 mins unpaid lunch break).
