About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst with Private Health Insurance (PHI) domain expertise to lead the validation and quality assurance of an AI-driven test case generation platform. This role combines deep testing capability with strong industry knowledge to ensure AI-generated test artefacts are accurate, compliant, and fit for use in regulated PHI environments.
You will play a key role in assessing how effectively the AI tool generates test cases from PHI business rules, product definitions, and regulatory requirements, while ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate AI-generated test cases against PHI business rules, fund products, and regulatory requirements
- Assess test coverage for policy lifecycle scenarios including onboarding, premium calculation, claims, suspensions, reinstatements, and cancellations
- Ensure AI-generated tests correctly reflect PHI compliance obligations (e.g. PHI Act, APRA, ATO, Private Health Insurance Rules)
- Design and execute manual and automated tests to benchmark AI-generated tests against traditional test approaches
- Evaluate AI interpretation of PHI-specific artefacts such as product schedules, benefit rules, excess/co-payment structures, and waiting periods
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and hallucinations in AI-generated test cases, particularly in complex benefit and claiming scenarios
- Define quality metrics and acceptance criteria for AI-generated test assets in regulated environments
- Collaborate with engineering, data, product, and compliance teams to improve AI output quality and reliability
- Establish governance, controls, and review processes for AI-assisted testing in PHI systems
- Produce clear test reports, defect analysis, and risk assessments for stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years’ experience as a Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst
- Demonstrated experience in Private Health Insurance systems, including claims, membership, billing, and product configuration
- Strong background in functional, integration, and UAT testing
- Hands-on experience with test design techniques (risk-based, boundary value, equivalence partitioning)
- Experience working with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Solid understanding of Agile / DevOps delivery models
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically assess AI-generated outputs
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience testing PHI core platforms (e.g. HICAPS, Medicare integration, claims adjudication engines)
- Exposure to AI/ML or rule-based generation tools
- Experience in regulatory and compliance testing
- Knowledge of requirements traceability and coverage modelling
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
