You will be working for one of the fastest growing IT consulting firms in Australia. The company has a team of more than 150 consultants spread across various clients. You will be working for one of our clients on a full-time basis.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest companies in Australia based in Sydney
Responsibilities of the position include:
- preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
- Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow.
- Reconciliations of loan accounts, general clearing accounts and wage and super reports.
- undertaking financial administration and internal audits to maintain compliance
- liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
- supervising a team of accounting technicians
- developing and managing financial systems/policies
- negotiating and obtaining finance for major projects
- controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
- creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.
- Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s
financial health. - Examining the proficiency of the software programs used to organise data.
- Supervising payroll officer and /or bookkeeper with tasks and accounting matters.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Qualification in Accounting at bachelor’s degree level or higher.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience in a high-volume environment preferably dealing with multiple entities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially excel and exposure to multi-level accounting packages and online banking platforms is essential.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems.
- Independent, proactive and able to multi-task.
